Training and Development Officer - Cataby Mining Operations

ILUKA RESOURCES is a major participant in the global mineral sands sector and is involved in the exploration, project management, operations and marketing of zircon and titanium based products.  With a corporate support centre in Perth, we also have activities in regional Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, USA and Sierra Leone.

 We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Training and Development Officer to join the Learning and Development team based at our Cataby site.  Reporting to the Senior Learning & Development Specialist, this position is accountable for the implementation of the annual Learning and Development (L&D) program, including delivery of training programs, as well as leading key Learning and Development projects to improve the consistency and efficiency of practice.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide guidance, advice and practical support to all managers, supervisors and employees on matters relating to effective training strategies with a focus on maintaining a motivated workforce through high levels of communication, engagement and influence.

 Specific responsibilities will be:

·        Liaising with Managers, Supervisors and Subject Matter Experts with regards to content, materials and issues;

·        Delivery of key compliance training on site;

·        Manage the rollout of L&D programs and monitor effectiveness;

·        Develop training materials and learning content as required;

·        Overseeing the maintenance of all employee development records, ensuring statutory and company requirements are met;

·        Support the business in the development of frameworks and processes to facilitate training and development needs being met at the operations.

To be successful in this role you will have:

·        Proven experience in a similar role;

·        Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and who has the ability to influence stakeholders;

·        Strong time management and problem solving skills with attention to detail;

·        Cert IV Training and Assessment qualification.

 This position is semi remote and located on our operational site 150km north of Perth at Cataby in the Shire of Dandaragan on a 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on and 3 days off (5:2, 4:3) roster. Travel is DIDO with on site camp based accommodation provided.
