ILUKA RESOURCES is major participant in the global mineral sands sector and in involved in the exploration, project management, operations and marketing of zircon and titanium based products. With a head office in Perth, we also have existing operations in Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, and the USA.

 We currently have an opportunity at our corporate head office in Perth for an experienced Contracts Manager.  Reporting to the Manager Procurement & Logistics, this role is responsible for the management of Iluka’s Contracting requirements.

 Key accountabilities include:

  •  developing, maintaining and managing the Contracts Management system (CMS);
  • providing advice on Contract strategies to internal stakeholders;
  • developing Contract based commercial solutions for the purpose of directly improving the Company’s commercial position;
  • day to day management and administration of specific high value, high complexity, or high risk contracts (inclusive but not limited to travel and bulk commodities);
  • accountability for major supplier dispute negotiations; and
  • coaching, mentoring and leading a team of Procurement professionals.
Qualifications & Experience required:
  • Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Law;
  • Negotiation and Contract Management Experience;
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of business;
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team;
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative procurement strategies across a broad range of categories;
  • International sourcing experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of contract formation, applications of commercial contracts, variations, deeds and supporting documentation;
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial and competition legislation across the different states of Australia;
  • Practical commercial experience; including sound knowledge of different industries and their structures;
  • SAP experience is desirable, as is an advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite applications; and
  • Knowledge of e-tendering or other procurement software packages is advantageous.
