ILUKA RESOURCES is a major participant in the global mineral sands sector and is involved in the exploration, project management, operations and marketing of zircon and titanium based products.  With a corporate support centre in Perth, we also have activities in regional Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, USA and Sierra Leone.

The Role:

The Senior Geologist - Development is primarily responsible for the generation, maintenance and supervision of mineral sands resource models and JORC 2012 compliant reports used downstream by the Exploration and Geology and the Mine Planning Departments.  In conjunction with the Principal Geologist – Development, the Senior Geologist - Development also advises on the content of public announcements with respect to requirements under the JORC 2012 Code and the ASX Listing Regulations.  The role will furthermore be responsible for Development Geology skills and techniques training, mentoring and auditing across the group.  The expectation is that the Senior Geologist – Development will aspire to maturing into a Competent Person as defined by JORC 2012 on minerals sands deposits.  Expert level competence with Datamine software technology in the fields of resource modelling and geostatistics is essential, and experience as Competent Person in any commodity will be a very desirable.
