With a corporate support centre in Perth, we also have activities in regional Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, USA and Sierra Leone.

An opportunity exists for a HR Advisor within our Jacinth – Ambrosia (JA) mining operations team. Reporting to the JA Operations Manager, and as a member of the management team, you will be responsible for providing professional guidance, advice and practical support to all managers, supervisors and employees on matters relating to effective people management and HR. In conjunction with other relevant managers, this position will also support the community and indigenous relations functions at site.

The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing HR support and advice on workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, employee development and cultural change;
  • Support the business in the development of frameworks and processes to facilitate training and development needs being met at the operations; and,
  •  Support the Community Relations Advisor with the development of indigenous relations programs that maximise the vocational education, training and employment of Aboriginal people including pre-employment, mentoring and other initiatives at site.

As an experienced HR practitioner, you will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety and environment and ideally have suitable experience in a similar role. You will have an in-depth understanding of the legal aspects of employment, IR legislation and application in the workplace, with a strong working knowledge of HR systems, policies and procedures. You will also be a motivated individual who has strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and who has the ability to influence stakeholders.

This permanent role is offered on a 4 days on 3 days off (4:3) roster FIFO Adelaide or Ceduna (only) based at the mine site with full camp facilities provided.
